Science Po Paris: suspicions of anti-Semitism after pro-Palestinian mobilization

Students from Sciences Po Paris demonstrated for the Palestinian cause on Tuesday, March 12. The controversy arose because a Jewish student could not enter the amphitheater.

Tuesday, March 12, Sciences Po Paris was taken over by about a hundred students, supporters of the Palestinian cause. For the Union of Jewish Students of France (UEJF), the fact that a Jewish student was refused entry is outrageous. This situation arose in the Council of Ministers on Wednesday, March 13. Sciences Po students describe the climate of tension since the start of the war between Israel and Hamas.

Sciences Po management takes over the disciplinary department

“Discussions are very difficult, because in reality everyone wants to present their point of view, without actually hearing the other's,” explains the student. Pro-Palestinian students defend themselves against any anti-Semitism. In a press release, the Palestine Sciences Po board talks about individuals who have “harassed and intimidated other students in the past regarding their political views.” Sciences Po's management condemns the action and the practice used and indicates that it will contact the disciplinary department to sanction actions it deems unacceptable.
