Sci-fi series are often all or nothing, either amazing or much less so, and ratings on specialist sites are often always black and white.
Today we are talking to you about a series that clearly has all the lights because it is probably one of the best rated in its genre, even if it could have ended badly!
Available for some time now, its six seasons are still within reach, and it would be a shame to miss out!
The Expanse, one of the best sci-fi series on Prime Video?
Its first season was released quite some time ago, as the first episodes of The Expanse have been available since 2015! More recently, the sixth and final season arrived in 2021, and what's pretty crazy is that the show's viewership is incredible.
On Rotten Tomatoes, the series has achieved what very few other works have even come close to: achieving a 100% positive critic rating over 3 seasons!
In fact, seasons 3, 4 and 5 were rated at 100%, while the first one started off pretty bad, with a measly 79%!
A brilliant comeback that makes it one of the best series on the site.
The Expanse series, what is it all about?
If you are used to science fiction, the story of Space should not surprise you, at least not for the first season. Indeed, although very classically, we are talking about a conflict between Earth and a colony established by humans in space.
“Hundreds of years in the future, things are different from what humanity is used to after humans have colonized the solar system and Mars has become an independent military power. Rising tensions between Earth and Mars have brought them to the brink of war. Against this backdrop, hardened detective and corrupt sea captains team up to investigate the disappearance of a young woman. The investigation leads them on a race across the solar system that could uncover the biggest conspiracy in human history.”
No big surprise, but a series that works and should give you a good time through 6 seasons!
